Qualification requirements
The following players have the right to participate in the European Championship Semi-Finals:
(a) a player rated 2300 to 2499 at the time of application.
(b) a player who finished 1st or 2nd in a European Championship Preliminary (rule 1.3.1 is applied) is entitled to one start in a European Championship Semi-Final, regardless of rating

Reserved to players from Europe.
Players have to be rated 2300 or above.
Players have to be rated 2499 or below.
Players must have an RD of 150 or less.
