The Final of the 12th LWCCC will be played by:
a) the best three players in the Final of the 11th LWCCC and
b) the two best players of each Semi-Final of the 12th LWCCC who have not yet earned a qualification under a) and
c) the two best players of all the Semi-Finals of the 12th LWCCC who have not yet earned a qualification under a) and b) (*)
If one or more players declines to play the Final, they will be replaced according to these criteria:
1) the 3rd best player of all the Semi-Finals of the 12th LWCCC who have not yet earned a qualification (*)
2) the 4th best player in the Final of the 11th LWCCC
3) the 4th best player of all the Semi-Finals of the 12th LWCCC who have not yet earned a qualification (*)
4) the 5th best player of all the Semi-Finals of the 12th LWCCC who have not yet earned a qualification (*)
5) the 6th best player of all the Semi-Finals of the 12th LWCCC who have not yet earned a qualification (*)
6) the 5th placed player in the Final of the 11th LWCCC who have not yet earned … and so on.
(*) Tie-break criteria: 1) Percentage of points; 2) Baumbach tie-break; 3) SB.

ICCF standard time control 10 moves in 50 days with doubling after 20 days is used.
If a player exceeds allowed thinking time in any way, the player will automatically be scored with a loss. Under some circumstances all of the player’s games will subsequently be cancelled (if not already rated).
45 days of leave per year are available to each player.
There is no special leave in this event.
This tournament allows claims based on the six piece tablebase.
Draw offers are essentially restricted to one offer per player per game (called the Code of Conduct draw rule). See 2017 Playing Rules-Server 2d and/or TD Manual-Server 11.3.3 for details.
Ties are broken by the Baumbach tie breaking rule (see ICCF rule 1.3.4.2).
If needed, adjudicators will be selected by the server.
