Welcome to the 2nd English Veterans Correspondence Chess Championship. Average Rating for the Final: 2292.

Tie-Breaks: Tie-breaks will be resolved in the following order of priority:
a) number of wins by each tied player in the tournament;
b) points evaluation by the Sonneborn-Berger-System;
c) results of the tied players against each other.
If players are still tied after all relevant tie-breaking procedures have been used, the players will be considered equal.

Any Adjudications required at the End Date will follow EFCC Adjudication procedures (and not ICCF).

Prizes: Winner will receive £100 together with an engraved trophy for retention.
Runner-up will receive £50.
Third place will receive £25.

Qualifiers for the 3rd EVCCC Championship Final:
a) The winner of the Semi-Final of the 2nd EVCCC shall be entitled to enter. This entry cannot be deferred and must be used in the following event or it is void.
b) Those players who finished in 5th place or above in the 2nd EVCCC Championship Final.
c) The remaining places in the 3rd EVCCC Championship Final will be allocated at the absolute discretion of the Championship Committee.

This is a server event.
The start date was 3/5/2020.
The end date was 12/31/2021.
ICCF standard time control 10 moves in 40 days with doubling after 20 days is used.
If a player exceeds allowed thinking time in any way, the player will automatically be scored with a loss. Under some circumstances all of the player’s games will subsequently be cancelled (if not already rated).
28 days of leave per year are available to each player.
There is no special leave in this event.
Linear conditionals can be entered.
This tournament allows claims based on the seven piece tablebase.
Draw offers are restricted to one offer per player every 10 moves (called the ten moves draw rule).
Ties are broken by the Baumbach tie breaking rule (see ICCF rule 1.3.4.2).
If needed, adjudicators will be selected by the TD.
Other participants can see the games only when they are finished, and at least 10 games are finished in the event.
