The 2018 WCCC Preliminaries (WCCC 42 PR)

Tuesday, February 27, 2018: have started!

The 2018 WCCC Preliminaries (WCCC 42 PR) have been inserted on ICCF web-server.

Here are some highlights:

• Official start-date: March 20, 2018
• TD: IA Laurent Tinture (FRA) (Sections 1-8) and IA Olli Ylönen (FIN) (Sections 9-12)
• 12 Sections with 13 players each (i.e. 156 players)
• Category III (average rating of all Sections: 2321)
• Players from 44 different countries
• 1 or 2 players from Germany and Russia and no more than 1 player from any other country in each Section
• 1 GM; 21 SIM; 38 IM; 26 CCM; 26 CCE; 1 LGM
• The winner and the runner-up of each Section (i.e. 24 players) qualify to a WCCC Semifinal
