António Moura (POR)

António Moura passed away on November 4, 2018, renowned chess player from Sporting Clube de Portugal
left us on Sunday, victim of an prolonged illness. António was a figure in national chess and held several
positions in portuguese national chess, exercising in this moment the functions of president of the fiscal
council of the Portuguese Federation of Chess. He also held positions as President of the Correspondence
Chess Association and member of the Academic Association of Coimbra, the Academic Association of Amadora
and Sporting Clube de Portugal. Moura has been a leader of the Portuguese Chess Federation since the mid-1980s.
