ICCF Donation

Sunday, July 5, 2020: ICCF Member Federations show overwhelming generosity in donations to the World Health Organisation

Dear ICCF Delegates and Officials,

The Lockdown Open is an open tournament that was arranged by the Executive Board in response to significantly increased server activity during the international Covid-19 lockdown.  The tournament is the first major open using the Silli System on the ICCF webserver and the preliminaries consist of eight groups of 82 players (656 entries in total). The final will start in 2022 and will take the top 10 players from each preliminary section.

All entry fees from the tournament were donated for Covid-19 research.  In addition, all Member Federations (except one) generously donated their ICCF Direct Entry rebate to the cause.

As a result, on behalf of ICCF, President Ruch as made a donation of $3,750 (USD) to the World Health Organisation CODIV-19 response.

Eric Ruch, ICCF President
