XX Anniversary AEAC

The Spanish AEAC want celebrate the ephemeris of his XX anniversary with all chess players members of ICCF. With this aim, has organized three memorial tournaments: a closed invitational tournament, an open tournament and a thematic tournament.

The three tournaments will be organized by TO from AEAC and arbitrated by IA y TD2 from AEAC.

          XX Anniversary AEAC Closed

This tournament is by invitation in which only will participate players of 2475 rating or higher. Therefore, his category will be 10 or higher with 13, 15 o 17 players.
The tournament will be ICCF rated and valid for ICCF titles norm.

The registrations to this tournament will be processed by direct invitation addressed to the National Delegates of the ICCF Member Federations.

The start date of the tournament is October 25, 2021.

The tournament will be played in the ICCF server with the time control of 10 moves in 50 days with duplication after 20 days. If a player doesn’t makes a move over 40 calendar days, without counting the leave days, automatically loses de game otherwise he has previously indicated the intention to use more that 40 reflection days.

45 days of leave per year are available to each player.

This tournament has three prizes: AEAC trophy for the winner and AEAC medal to the second and third.

To award the prizes will apply, in this order, the following tiebreak systems: Baumbach, Sonnenborn-Berger and particular result. If the tie follows the prize will be awarded to the player with lower rating at the start of the tournament.

          XX Anniversary AEAC Open

Every player member of the ICCF can play in this tournament regardless his rating. The tournament will be played in a single phase. Registered players will be allocated in 11 or 13 groups, grouping in rating order, so that all the members of a group will have a similar rating.

The start date of the tournament is October 25, 2021.

The registration fee to this tournament is 8 €. The AEAC members will enjoy a special registration fee of 5 €.

The tournament will be played in the ICCF server by the Triple Block System with the appropriate length, following the ICCF recommendations, to the average of every group.

The tournament will be rated by ICCF and valid to get norms for the ICCF titles in the groups with category 1 or higher that meet all the conditions required by the ICCF.

Playing system

The registered players will be ordered by rating order. The first 11 or 13 will form the first group, the following group of 11 or 13 will form the second group and so on. The groups will be formed with players of as similar as possible rating. The number of groups will depend on the number of registrations.

Registrations

The playing system of XX Anniversary Open only lets a single registration because the groups are formed by rating order and there is only one phase.

The registrations must be sent by e-mail to the TO of tournament with the subject XX Anniversary AEAC Open to the TO Josep Guevara i Pijoan (ID: 160135) to the e-mail address: josepguevara@ajedrezaeac.com with copy for the AEAC Treasurer to the e-mail address: carloshuguet@ajedrezaeac.com.

The registration e-mail must contents the following information about the player:

1. Name and surname.
2. National Federation
3. ICCF title.
4. ICCF rating whet the registration was sent. player without ICCF rating must sent, if they have, his FIDE rating and FIDE ID.
5. Registration payment receipt.

The registration will not be processed by the TO without the receipt of the registration fee.

The registration fee can be made by two methods:

1. Transfer to the AEAC account in BBVA including the concept of the transfer , the name and surname and that the beneficiary is the AEAC. IBAN: ES94 0182 2284 64 0208535333.
2. Pay-Pal. Payment order to the e-mail address: aeactesoreriapaypal@ajedrezaeac.com.

The inscription will be firm when the AEAC Treasurer has verified the receipt of its amount.

Inscriptions must be received no later than September 20, 2021.

Prizes

This tournament has three prizes for every group: AEAC medal for the first, second and third.

To award the prizes will apply, in this order, the following tiebreak systems: Baumbach, Sonnenborn-Berger and particular result. If the tie follows the prize will be awarded to the player with lower rating at the start of the tournament.

          XX Anniversary AEAC Thematic Tournament Spanish – Ruy López Opening

The thematic moves of this tournament are: 1. e4, e5 2. Nf3, Nc6 3. Bb5

Every player member of the ICCF can play in this tournament regardless his rating. The tournament will be played in two or three phases depending on the inscription number.

The registration fee to this tournament is 8 €. The AEAC members will enjoy a special registration fee of 5 €.

The tournament will be played in the ICCF server by the Triple Block System for 450 days in all phases

The tournament will not be ICCF rated.

Playing system

The tournament will be played in two or three phases depending on the inscription number. In every phase participants will play two games with every opponent, one with white and one with black.

Preliminary Phase

It will be formed groups of 5 or 7 players. The winner of every group will qualify to the following phase. the TO will inform if other qualifications are possible at the start of the Preliminary Phase.

For qualify to the next phase will apply in this order the following tiebreak systems: Baumbach, Sonnenborn-Berger and particular result. If the tie follows, all the tied players will qualify to the next phase.

Semifinal Pase

If it is held, it will be played under the same conditions than the Preliminary Phase.

Final

The participating players will compete for three AEAC medals for the first three classified.

Registrations

Multiple registrations are allowed, with the limit of the numbers of the formed groups. One player can get max two qualifications to the Semifinal Phase and one for the Final.
