Announcement and warning

Recently invitations have been distributed to ICCF federations by using the name of ICCF advertising for a team tournament. Wrongly this mail has evoked the impression, that the advertised tournament has the approval and/or the support of ICCF and is organized within ICCF.  Other Federations have complained about this and were confused.

Please note, that this team tournament is not ICCF approved, not ICCF rated and not applicable for ICCF title norms. This behaviour is a violation of the ICCF regulations and statutes and will not be tolerated.

Apart from the circumstance, that this team tournament is not ICCF approved - to advertise for a tournament without prior approval is not covered by the ICCF rules - there are other defects of this "announcement":
The text was distributed by a person who has no official function in ICCF and is not the responsible TO
A TD is mentioned in the distributed text who is not allowed to take over all of the mentioned tournaments/boards.

This behaviour is a violation of the ICCF regulations and statutes and will not be tolerated.

We remind you that any invitational tournament must be approved by the WTD prior to be advertised and before any invitation is sent to the National Delegates.
