Here are some highlights:
- Official start-date: March 20, 2024
- TD: Sections 1-4: IA Laurent Tinture (FRA); Sections 5-8: IA Giraldo Menéndez Rodríguez (CUB); Sections 9-12: IA Alain Rogemont (FRA)
- 12 Sections with 15 players each (172 players + 8 multiple entries)
- Average rating of players in any Section: 2350.33
- Players from 40 different countries
- 3 or 4 players from Germany, 1 or 2 players from the USA and no more than 1 player from any other country in each Section
- 2 GM; 17 SIM; 58 IM; 75 CCM; 14 CCE
- The winner and the runner-up of each Section (i.e. 24 players) qualify to a WCCC Semi-Final, provided that they have obtained a positive result
