Services Director - Midterm Elections
Tuesday, June 11, 2024: - nominations to be sent no later than June 30, 2024
Dear ICCF Delegates and Officials,
The following mid-term election process has been activated after receiving notice of retirement from our ICCF Services Director, Austin Lockwood (WLS), effective December 31, 2024.
According to ICCF Statute 22(1) and the ICCF Voting Regulations and Electoral Procedures, paragraph 5, the following procedures and timescale will apply for mid-term appointments to the ICCF Executive Board.
Nominations are invited from interested and qualified individuals for the following position:
Services Director
Nominations from interested individuals should be sent to the General Secretary, Michael Millstone (dr.millstone@gmail.com), and our Scrutineer, Gian-Maria Tani1, to reach them no later than June 30, 2024.
Each nomination should include a written declaration from the candidate indicating their willingness to serve and a personal statement (optional) providing information supporting their candidacy.
When all nominations have been received, notification of candidates will be sent to all delegates no later than July 6, 2024. This will allow all delegates to consider all candidates and decide upon voting preferences.
Voting
The election will begin on July 22, 2024, and continue until August 5, 2024, 23:59 GMT. All voting will be conducted via e-mail.
A candidate receiving more than 50% of the votes cast will automatically be declared elected.
The winner’s announcement will occur at Congress and be posted on the ICCF website. The winner, if any, should be prepared to start a coordinated transfer of responsibilities and will assume full responsibility starting January 1, 2025.
If no nomination is received for this position, the Executive Board will be empowered to appoint an official.
Personal statements of candidates should not be published in commercial magazines/internet sites, etc., until after they have all been circulated by ICCF to the official delegates of member federations (as below).
Election campaigning/soliciting for votes, etc., should only occur after the complete list of candidates, accompanied by their statements, has been officially released by ICCF, as indicated above.
Michael Millstone
