• TD: Sections 1-3: IA Laurent Tinture (FRA); Sections 4-6: IA Bianor de Oliveira Neves (BRA); Sections 7-9: IA Alain Rogemont (FRA); Sections 10-12: IA Giraldo Menéndez Rodríguez (CUB)
• 12 Sections with 15 players each (174 players + 6 multiple entries)
• Average rating of players in any Section: 2371
• Players from 41 different countries
• 3 or 4 players from Germany, 1 or 2 players from the USA and Italy, no more than 1 player from any other country in each Section
• 2 GM; 17 SIM; 85 IM; 51 CCM; 12 CCE; 1 LGM
• The winner and the runner-up of each Section (i.e. 24 players) qualify to a WCCC Semi-Final, provided that they have obtained a positive result
