November Server Update

Thursday, November 6, 2014: The server will be updated during the week commencing 17th November 2014.

The most significant change will be that, following the decision at Congress in Sydney, it will no longer be necessary for team captains to process claims in team events; these claims will be sent directly from the player to the tournament director.  Team Captains will continue to be informed of all TD decisions by email.

Some claims will be evaluated automatically (for example threefold repetition); for other claims, the game will be paused whilst the claim is pending with the Tournament Director.

The rating forecast has been significantly improved.

The search function on the front page will now search the descriptions of each ICCF National Federation, and the "News Ticker" will include details of norms earned in ICCF tournaments.

National Delegates will be able to upload photographs of players; these will be approved by the ICCF Marketing Director.

Other updates include several other bug fixes and corrections.  A further update will be applied during December, to comply with other rule changes agreed in Sydney.
