Invitational Tournaments
Silviu Nenciulescu Memorial A & B
Dear friends,
It is our pleasure to announce the official launch of the invitational tournament „Silviu Nenciulescu Memorial A & B” as approved by the ICCF WTD, and to cordially invite players to participate in it as explained below.
Silviu Catalin Nenciulescu (1954-2014)
Chess wise National Master Silviu Nenciulescu was one of the most well known chess players from Romania. He also had an extensive contribution as a member of the Correspondence Chess Commission, as a tournament organizer and national team captain. In recognition for his overall activity, Romanian Chess Federation awarded him Diploma of Honor in 2000.
Professional wise Chemistry Professor Silviu Nenciulescu had an outstanding teaching career at the most popular schools in Pitesti, Romania. In parallel his work generated no less than 11 books and several articles.

Category: 8 or higher (dependent on the players entered/ selected)
Players: 13 (max. 7 Romanian players)
Transmission: ICCF server
Rules: ICCF standard rules for webserver play, 10 moves / 50 days
Start: 20 April, 2015
Entry fee: none
Prizes: Trophy for first place, Diplomas for second and third places.

Other provisions:
· The main selection criteria will be the highest ICCF rating at 1st April, 2015 (2015/2)
· The minimum entry rating for this tournament is 2426+ (2015/1 or 2015/2)

Category: 4 or higher (dependent on the players entered/ selected)
Players: 13 (max. 7 Romanian players),

Rules: ICCF standard rules for webserver play, 10 moves / 50 days

Prizes: Diplomas for the first three places.

· The minimum entry rating for this tournament is 2326+ (2015/1 or 2015/2)
· Generally, no more than 1 player from a foreign country will be selected. In case of several entries, the higher rated player will be selected at the discretion of the organizer
All entries for both A & B tournaments shall be sent not later than 30th March, 2015 by email to the main organizer Miron Sferle:

· 1 player 2426+ to the tournament A
· 1 player 2326+ to the tournament B
